Terms of Use
Last updated: 1 September 2026
These terms apply when you visit Zimbiznet, create an account, or submit a business listing or event. Zimbiznet is a directory only: it is not a marketplace, payment platform, employer, agency or booking service.
1. Who we are
Zimbiznet is operated by Shawaai Partners, of Executive Chambers, 106c First Floor, Corner First Street and Silundika Avenue, Harare, Zimbabwe. Contact us at support@zimbiznet.com.
2. Acceptance of these terms
By using Zimbiznet, you agree to these terms. If you create an account, you must actively accept them during registration. If you do not agree, do not create an account or submit content.
3. Eligibility and account responsibilities
You must be at least 18 to create an account. You are responsible for providing accurate registration information, keeping your sign-in details confidential, and telling us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account unless caused by our failure to use reasonable care.
4. Accurate and lawful information
Information you provide must be accurate, current, lawful and not misleading. You must have authority to represent any business or event you submit and must update or remove information when it is no longer accurate.
5. Listing and event submissions
You must not submit content that is:
- illegal, fraudulent, misleading or intended to deceive;
- discriminatory, abusive, threatening, harassing or unsafe;
- infringing of another person's privacy, intellectual property or other rights;
- spammy, malicious, technically harmful or unrelated to a genuine business or event; or
- otherwise likely to harm users, Zimbiznet or the integrity of the directory.
You may upload only text, images, video and other material that you own or have permission to use and publish. You must obtain any necessary consent from identifiable people shown or named in your content.
6. Review and moderation
Zimbiznet may review, reject, suspend or remove content or accounts where reasonably necessary to enforce these terms, protect users, meet legal obligations or maintain the directory. We may make minor edits for formatting, spelling, presentation or consistency without changing the substance of a submission. Review does not mean that we have checked every statement.
7. What “approved” means
“Approved” means only that a listing or event has passed Zimbiznet's platform review process. It is not a guarantee, recommendation or endorsement, does not verify every claim made by a business or organiser, and does not guarantee identity, legality, availability, safety or service quality. Visitors should make their own checks before relying on a listing.
8. Businesses and third-party services
Zimbiznet is not a party to, and is not responsible for, agreements, payments, disputes, services, products or communications between visitors and listed businesses or event organisers. Any third-party website, telephone number, WhatsApp contact, map, social profile or other external link is used at your own discretion. We do not control third-party content, availability, security or privacy practices.
9. Intellectual property and content licence
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Zimbiznet a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, copy, resize, format and display that content as reasonably needed to review, operate and promote the active listing or event through Zimbiznet. This licence ends when the content is removed from the active service, except for reasonable backups, legal records and material already shared with your permission.
The Zimbiznet name, site design, software and original platform content belong to the operator or its licensors. You may not copy or exploit them except as permitted by law or with written permission.
10. Availability and changes
We aim to keep Zimbiznet available, but the service may be changed, updated, paused, restricted or unavailable from time to time. Features may be added or removed as the MVP develops. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free access.
11. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. Nothing in these terms affects any mandatory rights you have as a consumer.
Subject to those protections, Zimbiznet is provided as a directory and information service. We are not responsible for loss caused by inaccurate third-party content, dealings with a listed business, or events outside our reasonable control. We will not be liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when you began using the service. Business users are responsible for maintaining appropriate backups and checks for their own content and operations.
12. Suspension, termination and removal
We may suspend or terminate access, or remove a listing or event, where reasonably necessary for moderation, security, legal or operational reasons. Where practical, we will explain the reason. You may request removal of your account or listing through the available account controls or by contacting support@zimbiznet.com. Some limited records may be retained as described in the Privacy Policy.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Zimbabwe. The courts of Zimbabwe will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights that allow a consumer to bring a claim in another part of the Zimbabwe or another country. The business owner should obtain legal advice before choosing a different governing law.
14. Contact and changes to these terms
Contact support@zimbiznet.com with questions about these terms. We may update them as Zimbiznet changes. The revised terms will be posted here with a new effective date, and significant changes may be communicated through the service where appropriate.
